Based in Cambridge, I have been helping artists onto the internet for the past few years. I have designed and built over 30 websites (almost) exclusively for visual artists. Some featured examples of my work can be seen on the menu page.

A web site is a great way of reaching peolple who are looking for visual arts and information.

The web sites that I design have no expiry date and, after the initial design and set up fee, involve minimal expense to keep going. They are also easily and quickly updated so your information need never become out of date.

The sites that I make are clear and easy to use. They contain a great deal of information, both visual and written, and offer value for money.

My prices are:
£150 for for a site containing up to 10 pages
£260 for up to 20 pages
£350 for up to 30 pages
£400 for up to 40 pages.

Indeed all of the individual artists' sites featured on the menu page would, at today's prices, cost this amount.
The group sites would be nearer to £600.

I usually expect 50% of the fee on initial agreement and the balance when the site is completed.

This fee is non-recurring and includes the design and all the arrangements needed to get your site onto the internet.

I do not charge for the initial preparation of digital files/images that you supply to me. Any necessary digital photography or the scanning of slides or prints can be quoted for. This is usually £10 per image/photograph.

I charge a very small fee of £10 per update. What this means is that if you supplied me with four digital images I would only charge £40. If it is necessary for me to take photographs of/scan pictures of artwork, I would charge a further £10 per image.

The only other items that you need for your web site to work, which I will help you buy if necessary, are a domain name* which starts at around £12* for two years and some webspace at £35 for one year. These prices are from Easily.co.uk, the biggest British hosting company, but other companies charge lower rates for different packages.
