"The passengers of the car that rushed down the winding road at break-neck speed sought protection in a holy figure that kept appearing in front of them, glowing kindly with a wicked glint. Abandoning all constraint they raced on into the valley."
Salome produces video and sound work that "aim to seduce the viewer and listener into his or her own world by constructing a space of inattention, where the mind runs away from the material presented, pursuing instead more peculiar imaginings." In 'Fantastic! She is showing 'Marie-Ann' (2002), one of a series of short video works produced by the artist since 2000. Parts of this series have been shown both in the UK and mainland Europe. Salomé is currently completing her PhD in Visual Arts at Goldsmiths College.
